Skippy Recall Due to Salmonella Risk

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever is recalling two types of peanut butter that may be contaminated with Salmonella. Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy and Skippy Reduced Fat Super Chunk peanut butters with UPCs: 048001006812 and 048001006782 are being pulled from shelves.

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever is recalling two types of peanut butter that may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Skippy Reduced Fat Creamy and Skippy Reduced Fat Super Chunk peanut butters with UPCs: 048001006812 and 048001006782 are being pulled from shelves.

The recall was initiated after a routine sampling program by the company revealed that these finished products may contain the bacteria.

The products were distributed to retailers in Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.

To date, no illnesses have been reported.
