NORWALK, Conn. — Stew Leonard’s introduced its new tomato ketchup that's made with sugar Tuesday.

The all-natural, private-brand ketchup replaces a version containing high fructose corn syrup in all four stores. The bottle’s packaging has been updated to an upside-down shape for easier squeezing.

“We reformulated our ketchup to contain a more natural ingredient: pure cane sugar,” said Rick Baker, a Stew Leonard’s buyer, in a prepared statement.

Stew Leonard's also recently removed processed tomato paste from its store-brand marinara sauce and introduced its own organic milk produced from family-owned farms throughout New England.
