MIDDLETOWN, N.J. — Super Food Town's director of prepared foods, Chef James Conroy, was one of the judges in a statewide crab cake cook-off at the state's annual Munchmobile Crab Cake Festival and Shore Chef Cook-Off held in Oceanport, N.J.
The cook-off, featuring chefs from top New Jersey restaurants, was judged by a panel of area culinary experts that gave top honors to Red, a Red Bank, N.J., restaurant. Panelist Conroy was quoted in the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger, saying, "[Red's crab cake] was ready-to-go. A fully executed dish."
Conroy oversees food preparation at Food Circus's nine Super Food Town stores.
