MINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. announced this week it plans to roll out a new boutique concept with The Shops at Target debuting chainwide and at Target.com on May 6.
The concept pulls nearly 400 exclusive products from specialty shops — The Candy Store, Cos Bar, Polka Dog Bakery, Privet House and The Webster — and merchandises them in limited-edition collections. The offering will be available for a limited time and replaced with collections featuring specialty shops around the country.
"With The Shops at Target, we’re building on that sense of discovery by offering our guests a chance to experience one-of-a-kind specialty stores and boutiques through collections that have been specifically tailored to their wants and needs," said Brian Robinson, director of fashion and design partnerships, Target, in a statement. The Shops at Target is an ongoing design program with flights planned for 2012 and beyond. View a video of the concept below.
