DAYTON, Ohio — Edict Systems, a subsidiary of Advant-e here, announced yesterday that three retailer-owned grocery wholesalers — Associated Grocers, Baton Rouge, La.; Associated Grocers of the South, Birmingham, Ala.; and Associated Grocers of New England, Pembroke, N.H. — have selected Edict as their outsourced electronic data interchange (EDI) provider.

The three companies have moved all EDI-related processes to Edict’s software-as-a-service offerings, including data translation, trading partner connectivity and supplier on-boarding.

Using the service, AG of New England “has experienced reduced costs and significantly expanded the number of trading partners we communicate with electronically,” said Ken Peperissa, director of IT for AG New England, in a statement.
