Tops Markets Selects Price/Promotion Optimization Systems

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Tops Markets here is implementing price optimization and promotion management systems from DemandTec, San Carlos, Calif., for its marketing and merchandising operations. The software services to be deployed during 2008 include Everyday Price Management, Promotion Planning & Optimization and Deal Management. “DemandTec’s applications will allow Tops to be more efficient in managing promotional activity and streamlining our everyday pricing,” said Patrick Curran, Tops Market’s senior vice president of sales and merchandising, in a statement.
