Unified Elevates Scoville to Sr. VP

Unified Grocers said Friday that Randy Scoville has been promoted to senior vice president and chief accounting officer.

LOS ANGELES — Unified Grocers here said Friday that Randy Scoville has been promoted to senior vice president and chief accounting officer.

Scoville was formerly vice president and chief accounting officer. In his new position he will continue to be responsible for all accounting operations, maintaining internal accounting controls, budgeting, financial closings, external reporting and compliance and financial analysis in support of Unified's business plans. He will also maintain responsibility for Unified's international operations.

Scoville was controller and later vice president, accounting, for Certified Grocers of California, Unified's predecessor company, before he left in 1999 for financial positions at two retail chains. He returned to Unified in late 2005.

According to Al Plamann, Unified's president and chief executive officer, "Randy has been critical to our successful integration of Seattle operations, has improved the performance of accounting activities in every respect and has developed an effective plan for the successful growth of our international operations."
