PORTLAND, Ore. — A memorial service was scheduled here Sunday for Peter J. O'Neal, operator of four Harvest Market locations — two in Oregon, one in Washington and one in Northern California.
O'Neal, who died Wednesday at the age of 65, had been first vice chairman of the board of Unified Grocers, Los Angeles-based, member-owned cooperative, since 2005. He was a board member since 1999, when Unified acquired United Grocers here — a company O'Neal had served as a director for 10 years, including time as board chairman.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, two grandchildren and his parents.
