United Fresh Launches ‘Fresh Facts on Retail’

The United Fresh Produce Association yesterday launched “Fresh Facts on Retail,” a quarterly research report offering industry members benchmarks and information on retail sales trends for the top 10 fruit and vegetable commodities and value added items, as well as notes on emerging market opportunities, such as prepared foods and organic produce.

WASHINGTON — The United Fresh Produce Association yesterday launched “Fresh Facts on Retail,” a quarterly research report offering industry members benchmarks and information on retail sales trends for the top 10 fruit and vegetable commodities and value added items, as well as notes on emerging market opportunities, such as prepared foods and organic produce. Sponsored by Del Monte Fresh Produce, the new reports are produced in partnership with research consultancy The Perishables Group.

“Fresh Facts on Retail will provide important data on sales trends that are just not generally available without contracting directly with a research firm,” United Fresh president Tom Stenzel said in a release. “United Fresh is committed to providing our members a growing array of valuable tools to enhance their business management, and we appreciate Del Monte’s support for this new initiative.”
