Wal-Mart Selects Business Intelligence Technology
Wal-Mart Stores has selected Oracle’s Business Intelligence Suite, Enterprise Edition Plus, to provide data intelligence and analysis for its operations, Oracle announced yesterday.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Wal-Mart Stores has selected Oracle’s Business Intelligence Suite, Enterprise Edition Plus, to provide data intelligence and analysis for its operations, Oracle announced yesterday. Wal-Mart plans to use the system to administer its logistics, transportation, category management, finance, human resources, real estate, merchandising, store and club operations and other business resources, said Oracle. The retail giant recently implemented Oracle Retail applications as part of its merchandising transformation initiatives. "The Oracle solution is very robust and it integrates well with our other applications, particularly as our business continues to grow in scale and complexity," said Rollin Ford, executive vice president and chief information officer, Wal-Mart, in a statement.
