ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans here is lowering the prices on dozens of seasonal products, including soup, facial tissues and cough and cold medications, through the remainder of winter.
“We know the next few months are a difficult time with bills to pay, New Year’s resolutions, and cold weather to look forward to,” read a statement on the retailer’s website. “As always we are committed to offering the lowest price in the market on items most important to families.”
Among the products bearing reduced price tags are several varieties of Wegmans’ Food You Feel Good About produce, Budweiser and Labatts beer and several varieties of Campbell’s soup. The news follows Wegmans’ recent price reductions on staple products including bread, potatoes, whole roaster chickens and cold cuts.
