SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here on Wednesday said former Walgreen executive Joseph S. Douglas has joined the company as vice president of pharmacy.
Douglas had a 27-year career with Walgreens, serving most recently as vice president, transforming community practice.
At Weis, Douglas will oversee the day-to-day merchandising, operation and management of Weis Markets’ 122 pharmacies. He will also oversee the company’s Lifestyle Initiatives team, which focuses on health and wellness issues.
Douglas will report to Kurt Schertle, senior vice president, sales and merchandising.
