JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In commemoration of National Frozen Food Month, Winn-Dixie here will donate a portion of the sales of select frozen products to Feeding America’s food banks. Items from Gorton’s, SeaPak and Birds Eye Foods will help fund the donation. Customers can use their Customer Reward Card for savings on these items through March 10.
“Because of the down economy, we continue to experience a significant increase in the number of families and individuals needing our help,” said Wayne Rieley, executive director of Second Harvest Food Bank of North Florida, in a statement. “As quickly as the food arrives on our shelves, it’s moving out.”
