Wal-Mart Offers Super Bowl Price Cuts

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Wal-Mart Stores yesterday unveiled a raft of price cuts on Super Bowl items in what it described as “stimulus plan” of its own the economy. The items include several snack foods, such as four 12-packs of Pepsi for $10 and a 5-lb. bag of Tyson frozen chicken wings for $8.88, as well as higher-end items like a 32-inch Vizio LCD TV for $597. Other food items being promoted include 12-ounce bags of Tostitos Scoops, two for $5; 15.5-ounce Tostitos dip, two for $5; DiGiorno pizza, two for $9; Pringles chips, five for $5; Hillshire Farms Cocktail Smokies or Ropes, two for $5; KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce, one for $2; 12-ounce to 24-ounce Doritos, Lay’s and Fritos, two bags for $6. Various HBC items, paper goods and other general merchandise product are also part of the sale.
