Food Lion Hosts Operation Grocery Drop

RICHMOND, Va. — A truckload of My Essentials groceries will be awarded to the winner of Food Lion’s Operation Grocery Drop contest and his or her neighbors.

“Food Lion is on a mission to celebrate community spirit and help you stock your pantry,” states the retailer in promotional materials.

More Food Lion news: Expands Rebranding Effort

Residents of the Richmond metro area are encouraged to enter the contest through Friday by telling Food Lion via Facebook what makes their neighborhood so special. The prize is valued at $2,500 with neighbors receiving between $15 and $25 worth of groceries.
