QUINCY, Mass. — Stop & Shop/Giant here said it will extend everyday low pricing to coffee, dairy and frozen items during November. The price reductions are a continuation of the Value Improvement Program that began at the chains a year ago and are being rolled out department-by-department. The chains, owned by Ahold, Amsterdam, have previously introduced EDLP programs in produce, water, juices, cereal, pet foods, baby items, paper goods and household supplies. The VIP effort also includes SKU rationalization.
