Colorado Springs — The Rocky Mountains served as the breathtaking backdrop of a networking cocktail reception held outdoors here last week on the Broadmoor's Mountain View Terrace. It was part of the Grocery Manufacturers Association/Food Products Association's Merchandising, Sales and Marketing Conference. Retailer and manufacturer participants adjusted to the altitude while attending sessions presented by representatives from Supervalu, Stop & Shop, Giant Eagle and Wal-Mart Canada.
