SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets has announced the three finalists for its store-brand ice cream “flavor creator” contest.
The three shopper-submitted candidates are Chocolate Covered Strawberry Ice Cream (Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Swirl and Strawberries); S’mores Ice Cream (Chocolate Ice Cream with Marshmallow Swirl and Chocolate Covered Graham Cracker Bits); and Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Ice Cream (Chocolate Ice Cream with Peanut Butter Swirl and Chocolate Covered Pretzels).
As reported in SN, Weis will let a consumer create its next private-label ice cream flavor. Under the Facebook promo, contestants could enter their submissions by “liking” the Weis Facebook page, and completing an entry form by Feb. 17.
Weis’ Facebook fans can vote on their favorite once per day through March 8. The winning flavor will be marketed under the Weis Quality brand. The winner will receive a one-year supply of Weis ice cream.
