THIBODAUX, La. — The week prior to Super Bowl XLIV, Entertainment Tonight called on Rouses Markets here to teach its worldwide audience how to tailgate Louisiana-style. Donald Rouse (left), pictured with ET host Kevin Frazier, worked with Rouses team members to prepare boiled Louisiana crabs, crawfish and shrimp, fried boudin on a stick, turtle sauce piquant, jambalaya, fried alligator wings and Rouses award-winning king cakes, all made exclusively with locally sourced ingredients. It was the first-ever Super Bowl for the New Orleans Saints, and the opposing Indianapolis Colts feature quarterback Peyton Manning, New Orleans native and son of longtime Saints signal-caller Archie Manning. So, Rouse closed all of the company's stores at 6 p.m. on game day to give everyone at Rouses a chance to watch. “I wouldn't miss it for anything in the world, and neither should they,” he said. The Saints triumphed over the Colts 31-17.
