“The Eataly marketplace will be magically transformed into a classical Italian-style food and wine festival with over 30 specialty food and beverage stands throughout the store,” said Eataly’s promotional materials. “Brimming with food and wine, the stalls will transform the aisles of Eataly into the colorful streets of Italy.”

The planned food includes a fresh mozzarella bar with housemade mozzarella bites, caprese skewers and a burrata “Sunday” with tomato jam and basil jelly. The event menu also includes a salami and cheese bar, a carving station, a fried bar, raw bar, crostini, antipasti, sweets, wine, beer, cocktails and soft drinks.

Tickets for the food are $4 each, with $40, $75 and $110 ticket packages available for 10, 20 or 30 tickets, respectively. Food prices rang from one to five tickets, with seven pieces of market fish crudo flights costing five tickets and an olive-oil preserved tuna costing one ticket.

Eataly also said there will be games and entertainment at the event and any shoppers who share the retailer’s Aug. 31 birthday will receive a gift.

Eataly’s traditional offerings will still be available during the all-day event.
