Oscar Mayer Recall Expanded to 2.8 Million Pounds of Product
WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Kraft Foods contractor Carolina Culinary Foods has expanded its recall of cooked Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich chicken breast cutlets and strips based on additional sampling initiated by Kraft Foods and conducted at a non-government laboratory. Carolina Culinary Foods initially recalled the product on February 18 after an inspection found Listeria monocytogenes in a single package. The expanded recall totals approximately 2.8 million pounds of meat, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said. No illnesses have yet been reported. Packages with the establishment number "P-19676" inside the USDA mark of inspection with a "Use by" date earlier than "28 MAY 2007" are subject to the recall, USDA said.Subscribe / Renew to Supermarket News
