USDA Says No Talks Scheduled With South Korea
WASHINGTON -- Contrary to earlier reports, U.S. Department of Agriculture officials said there are no talks scheduled with South Korea regarding beef imports. However, the two countries are discussing when and where to schedule a meeting, as well as the topics to be covered, USDA press secretary Keith Williams told SN. According to earlier reports, South Korean officials said meetings with USDA officials were set to take place next week in Seoul. The U.S. is working to regain South Korea as a buyer of American beef.
