Fareway opens meat market

Boone, Iowa-based Fareway Stores opened its first standalone meat market in Omaha, Neb., on Thursday.

The 6,400-square-foot Omaha Meat Market will sell Fareway’s full offering of meat, chicken and pork, as well as an expanded seafood selection, artisan cheeses, wine and craft beer, and other specialty items.

“We will offer a new and unique Fareway experience through this meat market,” CEO Reynolds W. Cramer said in a press release. “Fareway is very excited to bring this first-ever concept to Omaha and expand our 78-year commitment to providing only the best in fresh, quality meat, with the highest level of customer service.”

“We are proud to serve area residents in Omaha, and are looking forward to doing so through this new market for years to come,” said store manager Jake Jurgens. “If you don’t immediately find what you are looking for, please ask, and we will do our best to make good on requests.”
