Heinen’s Rancher-Suppliers to Grill at Stores

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — Heinen’s will launch Memorial Day weekend — one of the country’s biggest grilling weekends — with visits from two of the ranchers who supply its Heinen’s Own Premium Beef program.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27, Paul Cameron, owner of Mesquite Cattle Feeding, and Jessie Larios, manager of Foster Feed Yard, both from Imperial Valley, Calif., will showcase the retailer’s private label premium steaks at eight of Heinen’s stores.

The events, at which ranchers will be grilling and sampling porterhouse and T-bone steaks, are part of a larger program, “Where Food Comes From,” at Heinen’s.

The steaks in the spotlight are featured at a special price in Heinen’s current ad circular. A family pack of porterhouse or T-bone steaks is advertised for $12.49 a pound. The ad indicates that’s a $1 a pound savings.
