Walmart supplier recalls 90K pounds of beef products

Huisken Meat Company is recalling 89,568 pounds of beef products sold in select Walmart stores due to contamination with extraneous wood products, according to USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

It was discovered during production that an ingredient of the Sam’s Choice Black Angus Vidalia Onion items contained foreign material.

The products were produced between Nov. 19, 2015 and Dec. 9, 2015, and shipped to stores nationwide.

There have been no reports of injury or illness as a result of eating these products, but customers should throw them away or return them to a store for refund.
