SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y Foods has enhanced its “Living Well Eating Smart” health and wellness initiative with online blogs and video and audio tips, among other improvements.
Living Well Eating Smart is a nutrition program to help customers make sensible choices when grocery shopping. It includes a “Living Well Eating Smart section” of the Big Y circular every other week; an in-store area where healthy products are featured; and “The Living Well Eating Smart” newsletter written by Big Y’s registered dietitian Carrie Taylor.
The initiative now includes a section at www.bigy.com that provide videos of Taylor preparing recipes like apple wraps and gluten-free granola bars. Visitors to the Big Y website can also hear audio clips of Taylor providing nutritional tips like how to choose healthy holiday treats.
