Change to Win Coalition Launches Anti-McCain Campaign

WASHINGTON — Railing against what it calls an “anti-worker agenda,” the Change to Win labor coalition here on Monday announced plans for a multifaceted campaign against Republican presidential candidate John McCain. The group said it was organizing tours of 10 “battleground” states over the next seven weeks to stage demonstrations calling attention to Sen. McCain’s record. It also unveiled a new interactive website at worsethanbush.org. Change to Win is a partnership of unions, including the United Food and Commercial Workers, supporting Democratic Sen. Barack Obama in his presidential bid. The group was among those that filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission last week accusing Wal-Mart Stores of illegally suppressing union activity.
