Physician-Staffed Clinic Operator Shuts Down

LAS VEGAS — Medical Marts, which operated physician-staffed in-store health clinics, has ceased operations, according to the Chicago Tribune. Its clinics were located in stores of Meijer, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Shopko Stores, Green Bay, Wis., among others across the country. "The venture capitalists backing the company had a change of heart and decided to go another direction with their funding," Dr. Kenneth Richmond, vice president and chief medical officer of Medical Marts, was quoted as saying.
