GARDENDALE, Ala. — Retailer Owned Food Distributors and Associates (ROFDA) here, which encompasses 14 cooperative food wholesalers, has endorsed Edict Systems as its preferred electronic data interchange (EDI) provider.

Thirteen of the 14 member companies have signed on and moved some or all of their EDI processes to an Edict system, according to Advant-e Corp., Dayton, Ohio, owner of Edict Systems. Member companies include Unified Grocers, Associated Food Stores and Associated Wholesalers, Inc.

Edict's Software as a Service technology includes data translation, trading partner connectivity, supplier on-boarding, and web-based EDI.

"Edict's proven commitment to the independent grocery retailer provides the basis for ROFDA's endorsement," said ROFDA’s Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer Francis Cameron, in a statement.
