KENILWORTH, N.J. — Retailers will have an opportunity to sell a new line of headgear for sun protection under the Coppertone brand, available in spring 2010.
This month Schering-Plough HealthCare Products here signed a licensing agreement with IV Gear division of InnoVision, a multi-national headwear manufacturer, Markham, Ontario, to produce 23 styles of sun protective headwear for adults and children. The range will include bucket hats, cadet hats, womens and girls floppies and ballcaps with a suggested retail from $9.99 to $24.99.
The children’s line will feature the Coppertone brand logo of the little girl and dog.
Hats will be made with an exclusive UPF 50+ fabric, lab tested according to ASTM standards. The fabric carries the Seal of Recommendation from the Skin Cancer Foundation.
