KEENE, N.H. — C&S Wholesale Grocers here has improved scheduling productivity as a result of deploying the Retalix Dock Scheduling system at all 34 of its distribution centers across the U.S. this year, Retalix, Dallas, announced yesterday.
The system went live at the first warehouse in March and in less than three months all 34 locations were rolled out. More than 60% of C&S’s vendor and carrier appointments are now scheduled through a portal and implemented via the Internet. More than 21,000 appointments were scheduled in the past month.
“We streamlined our inbound scheduling process over a period of four months and already see a 40% to 50% improvement in our scheduling productivity,” said Joe Caracappa of C&S. “The system enabled our schedulers to receive and set an appointment in half the time required by the previous system.”
