Daymon Worldwide’s Brennan to Retire

STAMFORD, Conn. — Daymon Worldwide’s vice chairman and immediate past president, Peter Brennan, will retire on Jan. 2, 2009, the company reported. Brennan, who has spent 35 years with the company, will remain on Daymon’s board of directors. He joined the private-label sales and marketing company in 1973 as a retail representative for Allied Supermarkets and also oversaw Daymon/Loblaw’s private-label operations. Since then he has spearheaded the development and operation of central resource teams; Daymon Design; Daymon Trading; and the Category Development Group. In 1992, he was named Daymon’s first president, and assumed the role of vice chairman of the Daymon Worldwide board of directors last year. Brennan will remain active in groups including The Private and Public, Scientific, Academic, and Consumer Food Policy Group. He is also a member of the Food Marketing Institute, CIES and the Grocery
