Carnival Store to Include Dental Clinic

COPPELL, Texas — A remodeled Carnival store in Plano, Texas, will contain a dental clinic in addition to a nurse-staffed health clinic. The store, owned by Minyard Food Stores here, had its grand opening this week, and the All Smiles Dental and Orthodontics clinic will open next week. The dental clinic is said to be the first in Texas to be located in a supermarket. It could not be immediately determined whether any supermarkets in other states have similar operations. All Smiles, headquartered in Arlington, Texas, has 15 other locations in north Texas. “Offering dental services is one more step we are taking to provide the best services to the neighborhoods we serve,” said Michael Byers, president and chief executive officer of Minyard. Carnival stores cater to a Hispanic customer base. MedBasics, Irving, Texas, will open a health clinic in the store later this spring.
