Dorothy Lane Rewards Shoppers Who Eat Local

DAYTON, Ohio — As part of its “Eat Local” promotion, Dorothy Lane Market has launched a monthly local food “challenge” and gift card giveaway. This month’s challenge is to add four local items from any department to shopping carts. Shoppers can fill out an entry form listing the local foods they purchased. The entry forms are then put in a monthly drawing for a gift card. The retailer lists local foods on its website and monthly newsletter. Dorothy Lane defines local food as that grown or raised within a 250-mile radius of Dayton.
