MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. — Duncan Hines here kicked off a national bake sale contest today to benefit CancerCare for Kids. The contest is part of Duncan Hines’ commitment to the Cupcake for a Cause Campaign to benefit CancerCare for Kids. As part of the contest, Duncan Hines is encouraging consumers to host their own bake sale to raise money for the organization, which provides free support services to children affected by cancer. The supplier has created a micro website that will provide coupons and kits to consumers who wish to participate. Groups or individuals eligible to enter the contest will have hosted bake sales and sent all contributions directly to CancerCare for Kids. They will then submit pictures of their most creative cupcake, along with a 50-word story describing their bake sale. Both group and individual entries will be judged on creativity and inspiration. Prizes will be awarded to one group, one individual and 10 finalists. Each individual member of the grand prize group winner will receive a $100 U.S. Savings Bond and a Cuisinart Hand Mixer. The individual grand prize winner will receive a $500 U.S Savings Bond and a Cuisinart Stand Mixer. Members of five group finalist winners and five individual finalist winners will each receive a $25 U.S. Savings Bond.
