Fairway Eyes 4th NYC Location: Report

NEW YORK — High-volume specialty grocer Fairway Market here is eyeing a fourth New York City location, according to a report Thursday in Crain's New York Business.
The site, on East 86th St. on Manhattan's Upper East Side, would be its first in that neighborhood. Fairway is currently negotiating the lease, which was also was pursued by Whole Foods Market and Nordstrom Rack, Crain's said. Fairway has two stores on Manhattan's Upper West Side and one in Brooklyn, plus one store each in New Jersey and on Long Island. It has several other stores under development in the region.
Fairway Market parent company Sterling Investment Partners recently completed a $114 million debt financing. Sterling could not be reached for comment Thursday.
