MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P’s Food Basics banner will host its annual family festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 24. This year’s festival will star Chef Pepin, and will feature music from WSKQ 97.9 FM “La Mega,” as well as America’s Choice-brand giveaways, and a traditional pig roast. All festivities will take place in the Food Basics store parking lot at 1425 Kennedy Blvd., North Bergen, N.J. Food Basics will host more than 25 vendors, including Goya, LaCena, Cibao Meats and Café Bustelo. Vendors will give out food samples, and Pantene will provide a complimentary photo booth. “We are thrilled to be hosting this wonderful event that not only brings our community together, but gives our customers a chance to celebrate true Hispanic culture with traditional food and music,” said Food Basics store manager Willy Figueroa. “Chef Pepin is a phenomenal cook and an exciting entertainer, and his appearance makes this event a ‘must attend’ in North Bergen.”
