Food Lion Links Text Message Savings to MVP Cards

SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion's MVP cardholders can load Super Bowl savings directly to their card by texting BIGGAME to 467467.
Shoppers who text the retailer are asked for their loyalty card number so that the offers can be linked to their account.
From Jan. 27 to Feb. 3, shoppers can obtain a free bottle of Canada Dry or 7-Up, 2-liter; $1 off Tyson's Any'tizers; $1 off DiGiorno Pizza, 12-inch; and 40 cents off Pringles, when they use their MVP card. There is a five-item limit on the Pringles offer and each of the other offers can be redeemed only once.
Last month, Food Lion shoppers could enter to win a free holiday dinner by texting HOLIDAY to 467467.
