SAN ANTONIO — H.E. Butt Grocery Co. has launched its annual "Feast of Sharing" holiday meal campaign.
From now through Christmas Eve, the retailer will stop in 23 Texas communities and provide free holiday meals. At each event, H-E-B serves about 3,000 pounds of sliced turkey, 2,500 pounds of cornbread dressing, 750 pumpkin pies, 380 gallons of mashed potatoes, 140 gallons of turkey gravy and 95 gallons of cranberry sauce.
The meals are served in civic and community centers, and include music, arts and crafts, and kids activities.
