Convenience and Health Go Beyond Products: Panel

DALLAS — Adding convenience to healthful foods goes beyond the product itself, according to an expert panel speaking at the Healthy Foods International Expo here. Retailers can be a primary source of convenience by helping “bridge the confusion” over what to eat and how dietary choices contribute to health. “You can’t go to a pill bottle or supplements,” said Dr. David Gentile, a New York-based wellness specialist. Added Marcia Schurer, president of consulting firm Culinary Connections: “Very few people really know how much they should be eating on a daily basis.”
