CHICAGO — IGA here said yesterday it has selected three operators as IGA USA retailers of the year, one of which will win the additional title of IGA USA international retailer of the year at the alliance's rally Nov. 7 in Merrillville, Ind. The winners are Bob Buonomano, owner of Bob's Windham IGA in Willimantic, Conn.; Allen Milam, owner of Milam's Market IGA #1 in Miami; and Rick Stewart, owner of Susanville Supermarket IGA in Susanville, Calif. The three winners were selected from five nominees following on-site visits by IGA executives. The IGA USA international retailer of the year will join winners from other countries at the 2009 IGA Global Summit in Sydney, Australia, on March 15.
