Kmart Pharmacy Expands Generic Prescription Program

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Kmart Pharmacy has last week expanded the number of drugs covered in its generic drug program to more than 500. In addition to offering more than 100 generic antibiotic, pain and cold/cough treatments for $5 per prescription, the Kmart Pharmacy has lowered the cost of a three-month supply of many common maintenance medications to $10. The Kmart Pharmacy Generic Prescription Drug Savings Program also provides substantial savings on selected generic drugs for women, including medications for oral contraception, prenatal wellness, cancer, osteoporosis and female health priced at $10 and $25. Kmart has 1,100 pharmacies.
