CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. here yesterday said it has named Kathleen S. Barclay senior vice president, human resources, effective in January 2010. She most recently headed global human resources for General Motors Corp., a position she held for more than 10 years.

At Kroger, she will be responsible for leading all aspects of human resources and will report to David Dillon, Kroger's chairman and chief executive officer. She will also be a member of the company's executive leadership team.
