Kroger, Indianapolis Workers Agree to New Pact

CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. here said Wednesday that it had reached a tentative contract agreement with more than 4,200 union workers at 60 stores in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. The new contract would replace a previous agreement that was to have expired last month but was extended as negotiations between Kroger and the union, United Food and Commercial Workers Local 700 here, continued. According to Local 700, union representatives will be in Kroger stores next week to discuss details of the new contract, with ratification voting scheduled for June 18.
