Mail-Order Prescriptions Available at A&P

MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here has launched a mail-order pharmacy program. Prescribed chronic and maintenance medications for ailments like high blood pressure and diabetes can now be delivered directly to homes and businesses.
The service is available in A&P, Pathmark, Superfresh and Waldbaum’s banners. There is no charge for the service other than regular insurance copayments.
All orders are filled by an A&P pharmacy in Old Tappan, N.J. A pharmacist answering the phone at the facility said the pharmacy originally operated as a mail-order service for A&P employees.
To register, patients mail their prescription form along with a patient profile form (available online) to the Old Tappan pharmacy. Medications will be delivered in about 14 days.
Ninety-day supplies of generic medications ordered through A&P’s “Live Better Wellness Club” are also eligible.
