THE WOODLANDS, Texas — MC-McLane International here announced that 35-year industry veteran Louis Stinebaugh has been named its president and chief operating officer. He will report to Mike Julian, chairman and chief executive officer. Stinebaugh most recently was president of San Jose, Calif.-based Mi Pueblo Food Center. He also served as president and COO at Fresh Brands Distributing, Sheboygan, Wis., where he was responsible for wholesale and retail operations of 100 corporate and franchised Piggly Wiggly and Dicks Supermarkets. Stinebaugh began his career in 1972 at Kroger in Greenville, Texas. In 1978 he joined Safeway and served as distribution center manager in Saudi Arabia from 1979 to 1983. He also held various leadership positions with Baker’s Supermarkets in Omaha, Neb., from 1987 to 1999. He later held the positions of vice president of merchandising and division president with Fleming Cos.
