Paula Deen Builds Excitement About Food City Show

ABINGDON, Va. — A sold-out cooking lesson from celebrity cook Paula Deen is among the events at K-VA-T Food Stores’ upcoming “Food City Food Show.”
“It’s time to kick up your boots and fill up your belly,” K-VA-T says in promotional materials about the show, to be held Aug. 28 and 29 at the Knoxville Convention Center in Tenn.
Tickets cost $8 in stores; $10 at the gate. Children under 12 are free. The Paula Deen event costs an additional $25.
The show includes food from regional vendors, tips from cooking experts and celebrity appearances.
Among other appearances: Certified Angus Beef kitchen expert Mary McMillen will conduct a presentation titled, “Cooking Barbeque and Cider Slaw Wraps & Southwestern Steak, Black Beans & Rice,” while Mary Constantine host of “Stirring the Pot” on knoxnews.com will showcase “Cooking Bodacious Biscuits and Beans.”
