Bashas’, Minyard Launch Free Prenatal Vitamins

COPPELL, Texas — Minyard Food Stores here and Bashas’, Chandler, Ariz., have launched free generic prescription prenatal vitamin programs. The Minyard program was announced this week. SN learned of Bashas’ program from director of pharmacy Dan Milovich during this week’s Food Marketing Institute Supermarket Pharmacy Conference. The programs are both supplied by Ethex Corp., Bridgeton, Mo. “By providing free prenatal vitamins to expectant mothers throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we help ensure that the mother and child are receiving the essential nutrients they need during pregnancy,” said Ron Peters, vice president of pharmacy operations for Minyard.
