Aug 27, 2008 6:00 AM
CHICAGO — Strack & Van Til, a subsidiary of grocery distributor Central Grocers Cooperative here, has enhanced its websites to allow shoppers to create shopping lists. Using capabilities provided by Grocery Shopping Network, Minneapolis, the websites enable shoppers to make a shopping list using an interactive weekly circular, coupons, recipes that fit specific dietary preferences, and cooking videos. Lists can be printed with all items sorted by department. “Our goal is to give our customers the best shopping experience available on the Web,” said Tim McInnis of Strack and Van Til, in a statement. Strack & Van Til operates 30 retail locations in and around the Chicago and Northern Indiana areas; its websites can be found at www.strackandvantil.com, www.ultra-foods.com and www.town-country-market.com.
