Unified Grocers to Synchronize Product Data With Kraft
Nov 20, 2008 6:00 AM
LOS ANGELES — Unified Grocers here will begin implementing a data synchronization program with Kraft Foods in three divisions in January.
The program, Fast Start, from the Epic Group, St. Charles, Ill., facilitates the adoption of data synchronization for retailers who require rapid synchronization with large numbers of vendor items but lack the time to commit to the process, said Epic Group. Approximately 3,000 Kraft items will be synchronized with Unified’s database using a hosted version of a data sync engine, Lansa’s Data Sync Direct, serviced by Epic.
The program “allows us to move quickly into our data synchronization project with minimal cost and maximum return on investment,” said Bob Lutz, Unified’s vice president of procurement, in a statement.
